Lathierial Boyd

On a Chicago evening, gunfire erupts leaving one man dead and another man paralyzed. Nine eyewitnesses stand witness to this event, but none can identify the perpetrator. Unwilling to accede to another unsolved homicide, police quickly assume that they know who their perpetrator may be.  Without any hesitation, a young black man, who twenty three miles away sitting in his sister's home eating pizza and watching a basketball game when the gunfire erupted, is arrested and charged for murder. At his trial, he is confronted with fabricated evidence, misidentification testimony, and a pack of lies. Shortly thereafter, he is found guilty and sentenced to spend the rest of his life in prison –without any hopes for a future. Unfortunately, this is not some far-fetched plot of a Hollywood movie. This a true story of a Hidden American Injustice.
